How long is the season?

The 2026 season runs from April to October (weather dependent).  So, don’t worry, you can still take a vacation! Although the club calendar is full of activities, you can decide which tournaments you want to attend.

I don’t have a partner, can I still play?

Yes! We encourage athletes to work with everyone on the team as a potential partner.

Where and when do you practice?

Practices are held Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5:00–7:00 PM (shifting to 5:30–7:30 PM as daylight increases) at Utica District Park, located at 10200-B Old Frederick Rd, Frederick, MD 21701.

I’m new to beach volleyball. Can I try this sport?

Yes! We accept new trainees at the U12–U18 levels based on the athlete’s effort, attitude, and athletic ability demonstrated during evaluations.

I’m playing club indoor volleyball through June. Can I still participate?

Yes, we have beach volleyball practices on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. While it’s encouraged that players come to all three days, it’s not mandatory.

My High School indoor volleyball practices start in August. Can I still participate?

Yes! We offer a flexible schedule to our high school players. For those who want to continue practicing, our training will continue into the Fall.

Where are the tournaments located?

MMBVC does not require athletes to attend a specific set of tournaments. We are happy to help athletes find tournaments and partners as needed. While tournament participation is not mandatory, it is highly encouraged.

What is the weather policy?

If there is any sighting of lightning or thunder, we stop practice and wait 20 minutes before restarting (if time permits).  We practice in the rain, wind, and sun.
